Freely Captive

Neglect me; forget me; you do it perfectly well.
When I free myself you will not even realize.
A bruised child left to die in a rotten, hypocritical world.

To hold tightly a hand that will not let go
While I shut myself off for a permanent sense of freedom,
And shed that last tear, one that will merge well with this frown.

Here I linger till that day;
The day I’ll get to really go away.
And trust me, you will not miss me.

PS: This created itself as I woke up on the day of my C slot exam dated 28/04/08. Need I say more?

liked that. Nice way of expressing the need for someone u can trust, trust enough to enjoy full freedom as long as they are with you,, to take care of you, to correct you when u cross the line...

Btw, how was your exam? :P

    It wasn't too good. :D

I should say that I wasn't speaking the complete truth there. The exam didn't really have anything to do with this.
    Loved the comment.. Thanks! THANKS!

I guess we have a winner among all the lines. Ah well, it's an ideal world and only a robotic hand would serve the purpose. :D

  4. Poignant and Subtle.

Somehow I could identify it with myself. Not exactly exams but metaphorically analogous to many events and relations in life :) Really Nice.

As I mentioned in the previous comment-reply, the exam really doesn't have anything to do with this. The metaphor you are speaking of is exactly what was on my mind as well.

  7. Hey, the consensus seems to be quite different from what I told you when you asked me right after you put it up. Almost makes me re-evaluate. Almost. :)
